The program 'Sac' of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center won the Gold Medal at the National Music and Dance Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - The second National Professional Music and Dance Festival was held amid the joyful anticipation of artists from all over the country. This year the Festival was held in Dak Lak with the participation of 22 music and dance troupes and art centers across the country. The participating programs were elaborately invested, had themes, main points, and were rich in artistry, bringing unforgettable emotions to the audience.
After 13 exciting days (June 17-30), the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 2nd phase of the 2021 National Music and Dance Festival took place on the evening of June 30 at the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Center.
The festival is organized by the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province.

The 2nd National Music and Dance Festival in 2021 attracted the participation of over 1,000 artists, actors, and staff from 22 art units nationwide. The festival was organized in 2 art forms: Singing, dancing, music and symphony, ballet, and opera, with nearly 200 performances in all genres such as singing, dancing, solo, instrumental music, reformed opera, opera, cheo, and tuong.

Participating in this Festival, the Provincial Traditional Arts Center performed the program "Sac" with many impressive music and dance performances. The performances were elaborately invested based on the main content axis of praising the love for the homeland and people through intuitive human images. The most prominent is the integration of Nghe An heritage features, such as Vi and Giam folk songs, ethnic minority folk songs, etc. into artistic dance works, solo and duet songs, and choir songs depicting the flow of history and human fate.
The program “Sac” consists of 3 parts. Part 1 has the theme “Fragrance and color of Lam river” with 4 works exploited from the material of Vi and Giam, conveying the story of the Lam river region; the primitive and rustic features of Vi and Giam folk songs in labor and production, in love between couples, love for homeland, country and people.
Part 2 has the theme "Sunshine of the West" with works exploited from folk songs, folk music, and folk dances of the Mong, Kho Mu, Tho, and Dan Lai ethnic minorities through performances such as: "Finding the Sun" with Dan Lai ethnic material; Leading the choir "Singing to Play the Moon and Play Spring" developing Tho folk songs; Duet "Hen singing to the lover" developing Mong folk songs.
Part 3: with the theme "Colors reaching far" talks about the aspirations of a nation to be strong, is the resonance of the aspirations of people to rise up in the land of sun and wind.
Musician Tran Quoc Chung – Deputy Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center said: “Sac” is the name of the program to summarize the beauty of Nghe An land and people distilled in tangible and intangible cultural heritages. Sac is not only beauty, the quintessence but also the will, the desire and the beauty in love and labor of people.

With 12 participating performances with a tight structure in both content and art. The program "Sac" of the Provincial Art Center is considered a special program in terms of attractive content and form of expression, meeting the people's need for art enjoyment in the 4.0 era.
The program won the Gold Medal for the entire group with 3 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 1 Bronze Medal, 2 Certificates of Merit for individual bamboo flute performers and for the dance group.
