Experience program 'Echoes of Homeland Heritage' at Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum

On the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), on the afternoon of November 21, at the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, hundreds of students from Le Mao Secondary School, Vinh city enthusiastically participated in the experience program "Echoes of Homeland Heritage" with artisan Nguyen Thanh Phuc from Thanh Chuong town.

Participating in the program, students were able to see with their own eyes over 30 musical instruments out of a total of more than 100 instruments made by artisans, including flutes, pipes, trumpets, jew's harps, monochords, sixteen-stringed zithers, two-stringed fiddles, stone zithers, rice drums, tam vong drums, to-rung, lithophones, and bowl-shaped zithers...

The children were introduced by artisans about how to make, how to use, the functions and the spaces for using different musical instruments of each ethnic group; enjoyed performances of the monochord, the rung, different types of trumpets, flutes and especially the unique performances of the bowl and stone instruments.

This is one of the attractive and meaningful experiential programs, contributing to preserving, promoting and transmitting national cultural melodies and identities to the younger generation, so that the sounds of national cultural heritage will forever resonate far and wide.

During the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement, many traditional musical instruments such as drums, gongs, trumpets, etc. became unique "weapons" used by the people in the struggles as signals to rally forces, or to encourage the fighting spirit of the masses.

The new and exciting experience program organized for the first time by the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum left a deep impression on the participating students, contributing to spreading the love of the young generation for cultural heritage, helping them to be more aware of preserving and promoting the heritage values ​​of their homeland and country.
