According to the indictment, without a stable job, in May 2018, Hien met and was hired by a man named Thang (unknown background) to transport 10 heroin cakes for 150 million VND.
Because he knew Huan when he was looking for a job in Dien Bien, Hien hired the girl to bring the white goods from Dien Bien Phu City to Hanoi with the agreement of 10 million VND per cake. Too greedy, Huan agreed.
On the evening of June 6, 2018, Huan hid 10 heroin bricks in his backpack and took a bus to My Dinh bus station (Hanoi). To make sure the heroin was delivered to the right address, after Huan got on the bus, Hien also took another bus.
On the morning of June 7, 2018, when Huan had just gotten off the My Dinh bus station and was taking a taxi to Lang Son, he was discovered by the police and arrested red-handed with 10 heroin bricks. Knowing that Huan had been arrested, Hien went to the Nam Tu Liem District Police to surrender.
In court, Huan confessed that because he wanted 100 million VND, a huge amount of money for him, he agreed to transport drugs.
