Girl living in China for more than 10 years returns home to denounce her seller
(Baonghean.vn) - The Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Vy Thi Hoa (born in 1964) and Ven Van Manh (born in 1961), both residing in Chieu Luu Commune, Ky Son District, to investigate the crime of "Buying and selling children" according to the provisions of Article 120 of the 1999 Penal Code.
According to investigation documents, in early 2013, Vy Thi Hoa called Ven Van Manh to ask him to find someone for her to take to China to sell as a husband. The two sides agreed that if they found someone, Hoa would pay Manh 10 million VND for the service.
Some time later, Manh went to Xeo Van H's house, residing in Nam Tien village, Bao Nam commune, to discuss with H about letting his daughter, Xeo Thi T (born in 1998), go to work for a company, and H agreed. A week later, Manh came to the house to pick up Xeo Thi T and took her to Muong Xen town to hand her over to Hoa. Hoa then took a bus to take T to Mong Cai border gate (Quang Ninh) and crossed the border to China.

During this time, Hoa contacted a woman named Hong and sold T to a Chinese man. After returning to Vietnam, Hoa paid Manh 10 million VND as agreed.
After more than 10 years living in China, Xeo Thi T escaped back to Vietnam and denounced the actions of Vy Thi Hoa and Ven Van Manh.
Initially, Vy Thi Hoa and Ven Van Manh admitted their actions. Vy Thi Hoa was previously sentenced to 5 years in prison by the People's Court of Nghe An province for similar crimes.
