(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Con Cuong district has just decided to announce the end of African swine fever in Bong Khe commune.
Previously, on June 5, the Veterinary Department of Region III had test results of sick pig samples from Mr. Ho Anh Tuan's household in Lien Tan village, Bong Khe commune, positive for African swine fever. 3 pigs weighing 201 kg belonging to Mr. Ho Anh Tuan's household had previously shown signs of unusual loss of appetite and red skin. The functional forces of Con Cuong district proceeded to destroy the pigs according to procedures to prevent the spread of the disease.

As soon as the epidemic was detected, the authorities promptly and resolutely implemented synchronous and thorough handling according to the instructions and directions from above; and well organized epidemic prevention checkpoints.
After 30 days of the African swine fever outbreak in Bong Khe commune, up to now, the locality has not had any new outbreaks. Based on regulations, today (July 8), the People's Committee of Con Cuong district issued Decision No. 1285 announcing the end of African swine fever in Bong Khe commune and threatened epidemic areas: Con Cuong town, Chi Khe commune.
Thus, in Con Cuong district, only Luc Da commune is still affected by the epidemic (20 days have passed). Although the epidemic has been declared over in Bong Khe commune, the authorities of Con Cuong district still continue to maintain and proactively prevent the epidemic. When the local authorities discover that there are sudden sick or dead pigs, suspected of having African swine fever, they must immediately report to the district Veterinary Station to take samples for testing, and promptly handle thoroughly if an outbreak occurs.
