Con Cuong supports Tet for the poor with more than 271 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the information given by Con Cuong district at the conference to review Party building work in 2017 and deploy tasks for 2018 held on the afternoon of January 11.
In response to the Provincial Party Secretary’s call to support Tet for the Poor 2018, delegates attending the conference donated more than 18 million VND. Agencies, departments, branches, communes and towns of Con Cuong district registered to donate more than 271 million VND.

The conference reviewed the socio-economic situation, national defense, security, and Party building in 2017 and oriented tasks for 2018.
In 2017, Con Cuong district had a growth rate of 7.47%, the poverty rate was 26.6%. Forest protection and management work was well directed, increasing forest coverage to 85.6%, the highest in the country, and preventing forest fires.
During the year, the district established the Muong Thanh Con Cuong Hotel Party Cell. This is the first non-state enterprise Party Cell in the area. The district Party Cell is classified as strong.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 typical strong and clean grassroots party organizations; 2 party cells, 3 party members with many achievements in Party building work and awarded commemorative medals to 5 individuals for their contributions to the Inspection work; awarded certificates of merit from Nghe An Newspaper to individuals and units with outstanding achievements in publishing and using Party newspapers in 2017.
