During the 5-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, many eco-tourism spots in Con Cuong district were overloaded with visitors. Some tourists lacked awareness and littered, causing the Pha Lai wharf and Kem waterfall to overflow with garbage after the holiday.
Mr. Luong Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of Mon Son Commune People's Committee said: "Mon Son is one of the localities with many tourist attractions and during the recent holidays, the number of visitors here was very large, especially at Giang River beach.
To ensure the environment, right after the holiday, the commune directed tourist spots to focus on collecting and disposing of garbage properly, not leaving garbage littered or floating on the river.

Ms. Lo Thi Bon, an environmental sanitation worker at Khe Kem waterfall, said: “After the holidays, we are struggling to collect and process a huge amount of garbage. If only every tourist would be conscious of throwing garbage in the designated place, it would be much easier for us.”
