In the past 3 weeks, Nam Dan district has had 5 consecutive forest fires. Nam Dan police have established a special forest fire investigation team to investigate and clarify.

Major Nguyen Duc Kien - Deputy Head of Nam Dan District Police said: Most forest fires up to now have been very difficult to investigate the subjects who intentionally set fires. Because the subjects who intentionally set fires are often very sophisticated, not to mention the scene after the fire is extinguished is often disturbed, leading to traces to identify the flammable substance, the place where the first fire occurred is completely erased.

Typically, on June 13, in Nam Tan (Nam Dan), a forest fire occurred, causing damage to over 1 hectare. On June 13, Nam Dan District Police quickly found the culprit, Nguyen Dinh Truong in Hamlet 7, Nam Tan Commune. Through investigation, Truong confessed to using a cigarette butt to start the forest fire.
Major Nguyen Duc Kien - Deputy Head of Nam Dan District Police added: Many forest fires are quite complicated, causing great damage, such as on June 16 in Khanh Son commune, a forest fire occurred, causing damage to 5.4 hectares, on July 26, also in Khanh Son commune, a large forest fire occurred, causing estimated damage to over 10 hectares.
Nam Dan District Police have invited the Institute of Criminal Science (Ministry of Public Security) to bring modern equipment to coordinate the investigation of the cause of the forest fire.
