Nghe An Police on duty with 100% of its personnel, proactively responding to storm No. 3
This is one of the contents disseminated at the online meeting of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Nghe An Provincial Police on September 6 to deploy tasks of prevention and response to storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).

At the meeting, Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the Steering Committee emphasized: Storm No. 3 is forecasted to be very strong. Therefore, the Public Security of units and localities is required to closely follow the direction of the Prime Minister, the Central Steering Committee on natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue, the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police on the work of preventing, responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; focus highly, not be subjective, negligent in the work of preventing and fighting the storm.

Arrange 100% of the staff on duty and have a plan to arrange equipment ready to perform tasks when required. In particular, closely monitor forecast information and developments of the storm, promptly direct and deploy response work according to the "4 on-site" motto, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.
Accordingly, the police of units and localities proactively deploy plans, arrange adequate and timely equipment and means to serve the work of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue and overcoming the consequences caused by the storm. Fully prepare conditions for means and communication, avoid being separated.


Closely coordinate with functional forces to promptly inform people, protect people's lives and property; organize the relocation and evacuation of people from areas directly affected by floods, landslides; take measures to promptly notify and warn people of dangerous areas so that they can proactively respond. For high-risk areas, resolute measures must be taken to relocate and evacuate to safe places.
The provincial traffic police will arrange forces and vehicles, organize guidance, traffic flow and control, ensure smooth traffic on main traffic routes; strictly control traffic through culverts and spillways, and absolutely not allow people to move through deeply flooded roads, fast-flowing water, landslides, etc.

Fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police, and mobile police are ready to deploy forces and vehicles to promptly organize rescue and support people to overcome the consequences caused by storms, floods, etc.
