Vinh City Police Seize 150kg of Foreign-Made Fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - A subject transporting a large quantity of firecrackers from Kon Tum to the northern provinces for consumption was recently discovered and arrested by the economic police team (Vinh City Police - Nghe An).
On the evening of September 10, while patrolling and controlling the area of Block 1, Vinh Tan Ward, the Economic Police Team of Vinh City Police discovered a subject transporting a shipment with suspicious signs.
Checking administrative procedures, the police discovered that the goods the subject was transporting were 95 foreign-made mortars weighing 150 kg.

At the police station, the suspect declared his name as Nguyen Duc Lanh, born in 1981, residing in village 4, Dak Kao commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province.
Lanh confessed to buying these fireworks from Bo Y border gate in Kon Tum province to transport to the northern provinces for consumption.
Currently, Vinh City Police have issued an order to temporarily detain and prosecute the defendant.
