Police summon young man who livestreamed gambling on Youtube and Facebook
To attract a large number of followers to the YouTube and Facebook channel named "Tiep cave", account owner Nguyen Van Tiep live-streamed the entire gambling process on his personal page.
On the morning of April 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police (Bac Giang) summoned Nguyen Van Tiep (born in 1989), residing in Ngoc Lien village, Chau Minh commune, Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang), owner of the Facebook account "Tiep cave" and YouTube channel "Tiep cave" for organizing gambling and gathering crowds (according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister).
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Hiep Hoa District Police force discovered on April 9 that a Facebook and YouTube account with the same registered name "Tiep cave" posted a "live broadcast" clip of a group of people gathering to gamble (playing cards for money) along with many insulting and challenging words to the authorities.

Conducting verification, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police summoned the owner of the above accounts, Nguyen Van Tiep (aka Tiep ca-ve), residing in Chau Minh commune, Hiep Hoa district, to clarify the matter.
At the police station, Tiep confessed: Because he had no money to spend, he organized a gambling den at his house for 13 people to gamble, then collected the "commission" money. To attract a large number of followers to his YouTube and Facebook channels, Tiep live-streamed the entire gambling process on his personal page.
Through investigation, it is known that although he has a carpentry job, Tiep is not interested in business, loves to play and often uses stimulants. In 2019, because of playing the lottery, he went bankrupt with a debt of more than 1 billion VND, and had no money to spend, so Tiep came up with the idea of creating a personal YouTube channel to make money.
Major Ngo Van Quan, Captain of the Criminal Police Team, Hiep Hoa District Police, said: The subject not only gathered in large numbers during the time when Directive 16 of the Prime Minister took effect, but also organized public gambling. Not only that, recently this subject has emerged as a "social media phenomenon", with 106 videos on his personal page with nearly 5,000 followers; the content of these videos is offensive, unhealthy with deviant behaviors... even challenging the authorities... causing negative impacts on young people and the security and order situation.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Hiep Hoa District Police is continuing to complete the case file to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
