'Mini park' in Tan Hop block - Vinh city

(Baonghean) - With the efforts and dedication of the executive committee and the contributions of the people, Tan Hop block, Hung Dung ward (Vinh city) has built a green campus and entertainment area to help children have a place to play and people have a place to cool off and chat after a stressful day at work.

Tan Hop Block was established including households living in 4 apartment buildings in Nam Nguyen Sy Sach, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City. In previous years, the green space in the block was often only used to plant shade trees such as mango and cajuput.

Some households use flower beds to grow vegetables, even set aside areas to raise chickens, and some areas are left abandoned, allowing weeds to grow wildly… creating a messy, untidy landscape.

But from 2015 to now, with high consensus, the block executive committee has determined to mobilize people to contribute to building playgrounds and sports fields to serve the households in the block.

The game of rotating pictures to find letters is loved by many preschool children.

Mr. Ta Quang Loc - Head of Tan Hop Block said: The first person to initiate and always enthusiastically and passionately campaign and call for a green, clean and beautiful playground for the people like today is Party Cell Secretary Tran Van Ty.

He organized meetings to mobilize people, first of all calling for the support of party members in the branch with the motto "party members go first, the country follows".

Playing chess is one of the activities that men often enjoy.

After a short time, party members and people actively supported 19 million VND to pour concrete to make the playground surface. Wherever people supported, the block executive committee immediately sent people to carry out the construction, supervise the quality of the project and announce it over the loudspeaker system to let all the people know.

Immediately after the ground was completed, realizing the need for a green space for children to have a safe place to play and for adults to have a place to relax and chat, people actively contributed money and goods to create a "mini park of Tan Hop block".

This is a place for children to play, a place for adults to relax and meet after a hard day's work.

As of July 2016, the block has received more than 41 million VND in donations to build playgrounds and sports areas such as swings, bouncy animals, slides, stone tables and chairs, swings, horizontal bars, double bars, table tennis tables, etc. In addition to in-kind contributions such as stone chairs and swings worth millions of VND from the Veterans Association, Women's Association, and Residential Group No. 7, many individuals have generously donated, such as Mr. Que Ha in house B2 who donated a set of slides worth more than 8 million VND; Mr. Du Huong in house B4 who donated 6 million VND; Mr. Nguyen Van Chat in house B1 who donated 2 million VND;... and many other individuals who contributed from 200,000 to 1 million VND.

Up to now, Tan Hop block has a green - clean - beautiful entertainment area for people to enjoy. It has become a habit, every morning when waking up and every afternoon when returning, this place has become a meeting place. Women and mothers exercise and chat; students also take the opportunity to sit and enjoy the cool breeze on the stone benches before going to school.

Especially for preschool children, this place becomes a “playing paradise” with many attractive games. Parents also feel secure when their children have a place to play while ensuring safety.

The Tan Hop block's playground has truly created a model of civilized lifestyle and community solidarity for new apartment buildings in Vinh City.
