100-year-old woman in Nghe An uses a cane to support the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund
(Baonghean.vn) - Despite her old age and weak health, when she heard the village loudspeaker announcing the donation to the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund, Mrs. Tran Thi Nhung (100 years old) in Hamlet 6, Quynh Lam Commune, Quynh Luu District, used her cane to donate.
People in Quynh Luu district were extremely grateful when they heard that 100-year-old Tran Thi Nhung had come to the village cultural house with a cane to support the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Although the amount of money that Ms. Nhung donated is not large, it is her heart's desire to encourage the frontline forces who are working day and night to fight the epidemic.
Mrs. Tran Thi Nhung is from Ngoc Doai village, Quynh Ngoc commune (Quynh Luu). In 1962, she and her husband moved to Quynh Lam commune to reclaim land, start a business and have lived there until now. She has 6 children (including 5 girls, 1 boy) and currently lives with her youngest son, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh.

Although she is old, Ms. Nhung is still very alert, has bright eyes and can walk with a cane. Sharing about supporting the prevention and control of Covid-19, Ms. Nhung said: "Lying at home, listening to the village loudspeaker calling for support for the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund, I also want to contribute a little to fight the epidemic. I am old and weak, the important thing now is the future generation, seeing that the epidemic is extremely dangerous, I want to contribute a little to hope to push back the epidemic."
It is known that as of the afternoon of June 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quynh Luu district has received more than 1.7 billion VND in support of Covid-19 prevention and control.
