(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Le Van Dong, 98 years old, in Hong Tam hamlet, Nghia Hong commune (Nghia Dan, Nghe An), has taken part of his pension and mobilized his children and grandchildren who are working far away to raise 40 million VND to buy 3 tons of rice and some necessities to support flood victims.

Following Mr. Dong's call, his children, people who contributed money and effort bought 3 tons of rice, fish sauce, and MSG to go into October 24.directly to the people of Central Vietnam.
It is known that every year, Mr. Dong takes out a sum of money from his pension, and the small amount of money from selling vegetables, chicken eggs in the garden and gifts from his children and grandchildren to help and share with those in difficult circumstances in the area. "I am also old and do not know how much longer I can live, but in society there are still many pitiful circumstances. Thinking that I was like that before, when I saw those circumstances, I could not help but feel sorry. I share with them whatever is good" - Mr. Dong added.
Through the family's sharing, it is known that all of his children are successful in business, some living in the country, some living abroad. In life, he always educated and advised his children and grandchildren to be responsible and useful citizens.
