(Baonghean.vn) - Voters believe that it is necessary to transfer policy support for poor households to the entire community, because most of the households that have long benefited from it are waiting and have no intention of escaping poverty.

Morning of October 7, theNational Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huu Cau- Former Director of the Provincial Police; Le Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment had a meeting with voters in Huu Lap commune (Ky Son district).

Huu Lap is located about 12km east of Ky Son district center. The whole commune has only over 600 households, mainly ethnic minorities, but more than 70% of households are poor or near-poor.

Huu Lap commune has 6 villages, but currently 2 villages still do not have electricity. Therefore, at the meeting, voters continued to request the authorities to invest in building a project to extend the national grid to light up the villages of Cha Lan and Noong O.

Voters of Huu Lap commune requested the superiors to consider and invest in water plant projects for 4 villages in the area to ensure water for daily life and irrigation in the dry season. Build a hard bridge at Xop Nhi village across Nam Mo river, build a medical station according to new standards. The current location of the medical station is too close to the residential area, the campus is narrow, some machines are not available...

According to voters, the population of the commune is growing while the terrain is rugged and fragmented, with no land for housing. Therefore, voters suggest that there should be a separate mechanism to encourage mountainous areas in general and Huu Lap commune in particular to be allowed to level land for housing. At the same time, there should be a policy to re-grant farmland to the people.

In addition, Huu Lap commune also proposed to consider a policy of supporting allowances for heads of mass organizations in villages and hamlets and allowances for deputy heads of mass organizations at the commune level to ensure operations as well as personnel policies.

In particular, voters believe that it is necessary to adjust the scoring criteria for poor households. Because the current criteria are not suitable for the conditions of remote areas. Many voters even suggest changing direct support policies for poor households into general support policies for the whole community. Because poor households who benefit from the policies mostly have a waiting mentality and do not want to rise out of poverty.

The people of Ky Son district in general and Huu Lap commune in particular are poor, their income mainly depends on livestock and agricultural production. However, according to voters, the products made by the people are difficult to sell or are forced to lower prices by traders. Especially items such as corn, pineapple, mango... To increase farmers' income, voters proposed to build factories and enterprises for processing or preliminary processing in Ky Son district....

In response to voters' comments and concerns, representatives of sectors and localities directly and thoroughly answered them.

Speaking at the meeting with voters, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huu Cau said that all opinions and feedback from the people will be received and forwarded to the responsible departments and agencies to respond in writing to voters. The National Assembly Delegate also requested that departments and localities prioritize resolving voters' recommendations and proposals.

In addition, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Huu Cau also directly answered many questions and concerns of voters related to the security and order situation in the commune./.
