Cua Lo attracts 150,000 visitors on April 30 holiday

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 4 days of the opening of the tourist season, Cua Lo welcomed 150,000 visitors. Many hotels and motels were "sold out", and seafood was "sold out".

According to statistics from Cua Lo town, over 150,000 visitors have come to this coastal city in the first 4 days of the new tourist season. According to a survey, hotels on Binh Minh Street were fully booked on April 29 and 30. Many hotels had to turn away guests. Rooms in hotels and motels on routes 3 and 4 also reached 80%.

Some big hotels like Muong Thanh Cua Lo are fully booked for the weekends of May and June. The first days of the week are already 60% booked. Currently, the hotel is developing promotional programs and discounts for groups of guests staying for a long time and staying at the beginning of the week.

Many newly built hotels also have many programs to attract tourists.

Ms. Huong, a tourist in Hanoi, said: "This is the second time I've come to Cua Lo. This time I saw more visitors than last time. Luckily, thanks to early booking, my family was able to take the initiative in finding a place to rest. Cua Lo seafood is very delicious, but this year it's also very scarce due to the large number of visitors."

To ensure the safety and security of tourists, this year, Cua Lo has taken many measures. In particular, it pays special attention to rescue, search and rescue, marine emergency, environmental preservation and monitoring of price posting.

The town has also coordinated with hotels to promote tourism to visitors on publications and social networking sites: promoting images, introducing destinations and necessary information when traveling to Cua Lo, putting images, products and services typical and outstanding of Cua Lo into some general publications such as: Nghe An welcomes you (bilingual Vietnamese - English), Nghe An specialties (bilingual Vietnamese - English) (published to participate in VITM Fair); Nghe An tourism handbook (bilingual Vietnamese - English), Nghe An sea introduction brochure (bilingual Vietnamese - English)...

Mr. Vo Van Tho - Head of the Department of Culture, Information and Tourism of Cua Lo said: "After the opening ceremony of tourism, there were a lot of visitors to Cua Lo, the officials and people of Cua Lo were very excited. In the coming time, the town will continue to organize cultural and sports activities well throughout the tourist season to attract visitors. Strengthen state management of tourism services, especially ensuring security and order, prices, food safety and hygiene, rescue and first aid at sea throughout the tourist season. The town will strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the regulations as well as the "5 no" policy, and well implement the motto "Cua Lo Tourism: Discipline - Brand".
