Although smugglers, commercial fraudsters and counterfeiters are increasingly using new and sophisticated methods and tricks to evade inspection by authorities, especially taking advantage of e-commerce and the increasingly deep economic integration of our country, the Nghe An Market Management Department has closely followed the leadership and direction of the General Department of Market Management, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, closely coordinated with departments, branches, localities, and market management forces nationwide to actively and proactively overcome difficulties to excellently complete their tasks.
Overall results of inspection and handling of administrative violations during the year (from December 15, 2022 to December 15, 2023), through inspection of 3,243 cases, 3,023 cases were handled. In 2023, the Market Management Department transferred 2 cases with signs of criminal violations related to firecrackers to the police with evidence of violations of 131 kg of various types of firecrackers for verification and handling according to the provisions of law.
As the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee 389, the Department has effectively implemented the Regulations on responsibilities and coordination between State management agencies in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Coordination with businesses and industry associations in the fight against counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights has been promoted in recent times. Businesses and industry associations have proactively coordinated to provide and exchange information, and identify violations by organizations and individuals.
Speaking at the conference, Director General Tran Huu Linh acknowledged the achievements of the Department in the past time. Last year, the Nghe An Market Management Department continued to implement well the coordination regulations with the Customs, the Provincial Border Guard, the Provincial Police, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Finance, and the Nghe An Petroleum Company to support each other in exchanging information, providing professional support, examining, verifying, and supporting force coordination during the inspection and control process. This is a highlight of Nghe An. The number of cases handled over the number of inspections reached over 92%, demonstrating good inspection quality.
