Delegate Tran Van Mao questioned solutions to fight corruption.
(Baonghean.vn) - At the question and answer session at the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly, delegate Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province requested the Government Inspector General to clarify the causes, responsibilities and fundamental solutions to fight corruption.

Citing the National Assembly's Judicial Committee's review report on the Government's anti-corruption work, which stated that corruption is still a challenge and one of the most pressing issues in society today, delegate Tran Van Mao said that, besides petty corruption, large corruption cases in the form of interest groups, businesses, backyards, and family companies are being exposed and need to be identified and assessed.
"I request the Government Inspector General to clarify the causes, responsibilities and fundamental solutions to overcome the situation mentioned in the report," asked the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An.
Responding to the question of delegate Tran Van Mao, Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai affirmed: The Party, State, National Assembly, Government as well as the entire people pay great attention to the work of preventing and combating corruption. In recent times, with high determination and drastic action, the situation of corruption has been prevented, pushed back and tends to decrease.
However, the Government Inspector General also stated that, with the current situation, corruption is still complicated, so it is necessary to continue to promote anti-corruption work in the coming time.
Referring to the solution, Government Inspector General Le Minh Khai said that it is necessary to continue disseminating the law so that people, the entire political system, especially officials and civil servants, can fully understand the Law on Anti-Corruption and the legal system; at the same time, perfect the legal system fully and comprehensively.
It is necessary to quickly amend and supplement so that this session of the National Assembly can pass the Law on Anti-Corruption (amended) because it contains many solutions to overcome limitations, from prevention, detection, handling, especially asset declaration and handling of assets.
The Government Inspector General also said that the entire political system, people and the press need to increase their participation in inspection, supervision and detection to minimize corruption, contributing to cleaning up the apparatus and developing the economy and society in general.
