Congress of Thanh Chuong Town Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term

The Congress spent time evaluating the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Town Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term with many outstanding results. The average economic growth rate for the 2015-2020 period is estimated at 13.3%/target of 11%.

Average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 70 million VND, an increase of 33 million VND compared to the beginning of the term. The economic structure continues to shift, increasing the proportion of services and trade and reducing agriculture, forestry and fishery to only 40% of the structure.

Infrastructure and urban appearance are given special attention to attract investment resources and beautify, ensuring greener - cleaner - more beautiful. Total investment capital for infrastructure development in the area in 5 years reached more than 68 billion VND, of which people contributed more than 6 billion VND.

The cultural and social fields continue to be taken care of, especially the quality of education, culture and sports with many outstanding activities and achievements. The Party Committee and the government also pay attention to solving difficulties, problems as well as reflections, recommendations and concerns of the people.

Based on an objective assessment of the results achieved in the 2015-2020 term and lessons learned, the congress also discussed and proposed a number of orientations and tasks for the new term.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Huu Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee emphasized a number of contents that the town Party Committee needs to focus on leading in the coming term, including paying attention to Party building, building a strong political system associated with administrative reform, focusing on resolving backlogs, limitations and inadequacies.

In terms of economy, focus on shifting the economic structure with the priority task of developing services, trade, and construction; strengthen investment attraction to expand economic and technical infrastructure, create new positions and strengths, build a civilized urban area, worthy of being the economic, political, cultural and social center of the district.
