Create comprehensive development

The Political Report presented at the Congress affirmed that in the 2015-2020 term, through innovation in leadership, direction and working style, raising awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants and workers from commune to hamlet, especially the role and responsibility of leaders, the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members, Thanh Phong commune has created comprehensive development in socio-economy, national defense - security, Party building and political system.

The clearest evidence is that the Party Committee and people have successfully built and were recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting new rural standards at the end of 2019.

Accordingly, the economy continues to grow with an average growth rate of 8.95% per year for the entire 2015-2020 period. In particular, agricultural production is directed to focus on mobilizing people to effectively transform the structure of crops and livestock and increase the value of goods, associated with the application of technical advances, and bringing women into the fields.

Thanks to that, rice is basically structured with hybrid rice varieties, with the spring crop reaching 95% of the area. Thanh Phong has also planned and formed specialized fruit growing areas, typically Dien grapefruit and lychee. Livestock farming has also been shifted to a concentrated model, applying science and technology, improving livestock quality and economic value.

Along with agriculture, the Party Committee and government also encourage and facilitate the expansion and development of the professions, services and trade for the people. During the term, the commune invested in and put into use the new Thanh Phong market.

The total number of households doing grocery business and providing transportation, milling, agricultural services, woodworking, and brick production is nearly 200 households and 30 masonry groups.

Average income per capita increased from 22.5 million VND in 2015 to 35 million VND in 2019, estimated to reach 38 million VND/person/year in 2020.

Culture and society continue to be cared for; the appearance of the countryside is increasingly spacious, clean and beautiful through the new rural construction program, the infrastructure system is invested synchronously from electricity, roads, schools, stations, offices along with the awareness and responsibility of preserving the environment and landscape among the people is raised... The total social investment during the term is more than 150 billion VND.

Determined to build a model new rural commune

Based on a frank assessment of the achievements and limitations during the term, the Congress set out development orientations and goals for the new term, which are to build a strong Party and political system, meeting the requirements of the local political tasks set out throughout the term; focusing on accelerating the pace of building advanced new rural areas, striving to achieve model new rural areas by 2025.

At the Congress, on behalf of the district delegation, comrade Le Minh Son - Member of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Thanh Chuong District Fatherland Front Committee emphasized a number of requirements for the Thanh Phong Commune Party Committee in the new term.

In particular, focus on promoting economic development in conjunction with cultural development, solving social problems. Party building work needs to take comprehensive care of politics, ideology, organization, cadres; ethics; inspection, supervision; mass mobilization...; care for building solidarity, consensus, and unanimity within the Party and among the people for the common development of the locality.

In the spirit of democracy, responsibility and proper implementation of the Party election process, the Congress elected the Thanh Phong Commune Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 14 comrades; and voted to elect the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
