NGHE AN PRESS IS DEVELOPING MORE AND MORE

In the past 5 years, despite many difficulties and challenges, Nghe An press has always implemented its principles and goals, proactively and promptly propagandized the Party's Resolutions, Directives of the Politburo, the Secretariat, Resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government; of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee.

Nghe An Presshas truly reflected the country's political, economic and social life; resolutely fought to protect the Party's ideological foundation; increasingly effectively performed the function of social supervision and criticism, and been the main force, leading the way in propagating the fight against corruption, waste, social evils, natural disasters and epidemics, especially repelling the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

From there, creating consensus among the people contributes to successfully implementing economic and social development goals, maintaining political stability and ensuring social security in the province.

The activities of press leadership and management agencies and press management agencies have been innovative, strict and effective, creating conditions for the press to develop healthily and in the right direction, promoting creativity and rich diversity in both content and form of expression.

Particularly, Nghe An Newspaper, the strong development of the Newspaper is affirmed in the construction and successful implementation of the convergence of the editorial office. With 4 press publications including: Nghe An Daily Newspaper, Nghe An Weekend Newspaper, Ethnic and Mountainous Areas Special Page, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper has raised the level and position of the Newspaper with colleagues nationwide.

Activities ofProvincial Journalists Associationincreasingly practical and has many positive results. The work of educating members on political ideology and professional ethics for journalists is of regular concern.

Hundreds of press works of the branches have won National, Central and Provincial Press Awards; the work of developing members, rewarding, and promptly encouraging and honoring members and journalists who strive to fulfill their tasks well has been given attention.

BUILDING A HUMANE, PROFESSIONAL, MODERN JOURNALIST TEAM

During the 8th term (2020-2025), Nghe An Journalists Association strives to successfully carry out the specific tasks set out with the general direction of: "Continue to improve the role, quality and effectiveness of the Journalists Association's activities, worthy of being a political-social-professional organization of Vietnamese journalists, gathering and widely uniting journalists loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, actively contributing to the cause of building the homeland and the country, building and developing the press and the team of journalists in the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh to be humane, professional and modern, on par with the requirements of new tasks".

In order to achieve the above objectives, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association has set out 6 basic tasks and 13 solutions. In the coming term, the Provincial Journalists Association strives to develop 90-100 new members; Each year, 120-150 excellent press works will win press awards launched by the Central and local levels; and the Provincial Journalists Association will achieve the title of Excellent Unit.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee summarized the outstanding results of the province's socio-economic situation and affirmed that in that success, there were extremely positive contributions from the Provincial Journalists Association, the team of journalists and reporters of the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Journalists Association to continue to do a good job of political and ideological education for its members, improve the quality of its work; promote its role as a place to represent the ownership, aspirations and legitimate interests of journalists, and be a center for gathering, uniting and motivating journalists to promote their creativity, and uphold the sense of political and social responsibility and civic awareness of journalists in their professional activities.

For members, it is necessary to actively explore, be creative, actively stick to the base and practical life, and keep up with the development trend of modern journalism. Affirming that the press cannot beat social networks in terms of speed of reporting, but the press will surpass social networks in terms of standards, sense of responsibility, and professional ethics of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists, the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that reliability and persuasiveness are the way of life for the press in the digital era.

In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, term 2020 - 2025, emphasized that the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province and journalists in the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh expressed their determination to strive and successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress.
