General Do Ba Ty and Mr. Phung Quoc Hien hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
The voting results announced by Mr. Huynh Van Ti (Binh Thuan delegation) - Head of the Vote Counting Committee this morning (April 5) showed that: General Do Ba Ty - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Mr. Phung Quoc Hien - Member of the Party Central Committee were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly with the voting ratio of 459/491 valid votes (accounting for 92.91% of the total number of delegates) in favor and 433/482 valid votes (accounting for 87.65% of the total number of delegates) in favor, respectively.

The National Assembly elected 7 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, including: Mr. Ha Ngoc Chien (Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Council); Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh (Vice Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs); Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai (Vice Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee); Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai (Vice Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children); Ms. Le Thi Nga (Vice Chairman of the Judiciary Committee); Mr. Tran Van Tuy (Vice Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee) and Mr. Vo Trong Viet (Senior General, Deputy Minister of National Defense).
The National Assembly also voted to pass the Resolution to elect 2 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly with 447/454 delegates voting in favor (accounting for 90.49%) and the Resolution to elect members of the National Assembly Standing Committee with 418/435 delegates voting in favor (84.62%).
Immediately afterwards, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented flowers to congratulate the comrades who had just taken up their duties.
Immediately after being elected, Vice Chairman Do Ba Ty and Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien joined the presidium to conduct the working session./.
