Leaders of Nghe An Electricity Company have given explanations and answers to voters' questions. Specifically, regarding the final settlement of villages without national grid electricity, Nghe An Electricity Company said that it is currently implementing a project to supply rural electricity from the national grid, with an amount of more than 782 billion VND, phase 1 has completed connecting electricity to the centers of 16 communes. From now until 2020, an additional investment of about 575 billion VND will be invested to supply to the remaining communes.
Regarding the acceptance and repayment of capital for the rural low-voltage grid, Nghe An Electricity Company said that currently, Nghe An province has basically completed the handover of the rural grid to the Company for management, operation and business with 421 out of 423 communes. However, according to the Electricity industry, the current state of the grid system after acceptance is mostly in a dilapidated, degraded state, with overloaded transformer stations and long power supply radius, leading to poor power quality, unsafety, and affecting people's lives. Therefore, from now until 2018, the Electricity industry plans to invest in renovating 1,500 more stations with an amount equivalent to 2,500 billion VND to renovate low-voltage lines and transformer stations to serve the people.
At the meeting, Nghe An Electricity Company also made recommendations to the National Assembly delegation to give opinions to local authorities at all levels and agencies in coordinating, supporting, and resolving mechanism problems in receiving and repaying capital for rural low-voltage power grids; site clearance for power projects; relocation of power poles when implementing the New Rural Program in localities; coordinating and assisting the company in promoting awareness of customers in using electricity, saving electricity, and protecting the safety corridor of the power grid to avoid unfortunate damages.
