Posting false information about the incident in Dak Lak, young man fined 7.5 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 14, Quynh Luu District Police and the Internal Political Security Department worked with a case of posting false information about the incident in Dak Lak.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, on the morning of June 13, the police force discovered that the VCM Facebook account posted false content, distorting the incident of some strangers attacking the headquarters of the People's Committee of a commune in Dak Lak province.
To verify, the police summoned the owner of the above Facebook account, TVC (born in 1993, residing in Quynh Thanh commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) for questioning.

At the police station, the subject confessed that while accessing social networks, he read information about the incident in Dak Lak. Due to not researching carefully, he posted on his personal account untrue and unverified content, insulting the reputation of the local government and the police force.
After working with the police, TVC removed the article and posted a correction.
TVC's behavior violated Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 14/2022/ND-CP).
Based on the level of violation, on the afternoon of June 14, the police agency decided to fine TVC 7.5 million VND.
Nghe An police recommend that people absolutely do not post or share false, unverified information on social networks, causing public panic and affecting security and order.
Any act of posting false or fabricated information will be strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
