Raid on a cockfighting ring, arrest 52 gamblers
(Baonghean.vn) - At noon, while engrossed in cockfighting, 52 gamblers were arrested by the police.

At 12:15 p.m. on April 12, Nghi Loc District Police successfully broke up Project 418G, arresting 52 subjects who were gambling in the form of cockfighting in Loc My hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district.

Through information gathering, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency learned that there was a mobile cockfighting gambling group in Nghe An province and some neighboring provinces. At each location, this group only organized cockfighting once, then moved to a new location.
After verification, Nghi Loc District Police leaders established Project 418G to fight.
On April 12, the Investigation Committee received information that the cockfighting group would organize gambling in Nghi Loc district, so they decided to crack the case.

80 officers and soldiers of the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency surrounded and raided the house of Mr. Pham Xuan Ly (born 1962) in Loc My hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune.
Here, the authorities caught 52 people gambling in the form of cockfighting in 2 yards.

Confiscated evidence included 18 fighting cocks, 60 cell phones, 19 motorbikes, 4 cars and hundreds of millions of dong.
The gamblers came from localities inside and outside Nghi Loc district, many of whom were over 60 years old.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities.
