While participating in the relocation of a tomb over 200 years old, a young man residing in An Tay ward, Hue city (TT-Hue province) was crushed to death by a boulder.

On the afternoon of October 2, news from Thuy Xuan Ward Police (Hue) said that a work accident had just occurred in the area, killing a young man.

The accident occurred at around 10am the same day, at the cemetery in residential group 6, Thuy Xuan ward. The victim was Mr. Vo Dinh S. (residing in An Tay ward, Hue).

It is known that at that time, Mr. S. and 3 relatives were hired to excavate two old graves in Thuy Xuan. The group split up to excavate two graves a few meters apart, of which Mr. S. and his biological father, Mr. Vo Dinh T, excavated one grave.

While Mr. T. took a break to drink some water, Mr. S. continued working. Unfortunately, a large rock lying on the surface of the grave collapsed and crushed Mr. S. When people discovered the accident, Mr. S. had died.

According to locals, the grave where the accident occurred may have existed for more than 200 years, commonly known as the ship grave. By the afternoon of October 2, after completing the procedures for examining the scene and forensics, Mr. S.'s body was taken home by his family for burial.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
