The province has proposed the Ministry of Transport, the Government, and reported to the National Assembly. Accordingly, the Government has transferred 230 billion VND to Nghe An province to pay compensation. The total initial budget estimate for payment is about more than 1,000 billion VND.
For the remaining funds, the province has worked with the Ministry of Transport and the Government to report to the National Assembly to balance the budget to pay for the people.
Regarding cases where there are no more records, assessing this as a difficult problem, delegate Nguyen Dac Vinh said that for the benefit of the people, the authorities are looking for the most appropriate solution to determine and resolve the issue.
“This is an extremely difficult task and the procedures are very complicated. In the context of financial difficulties and large payment amounts, it cannot be resolved in a day or two but will take a long time. Therefore, together with the efforts of the town and province, people need to agree to share and coordinate to complete payment records as well as implement compensation policies for land acquisition and clearance” - Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office asked the people involved to share.
