Previously, in the early morning of May 15, Do Huu Manh (46 years old, in Kenh Giang commune, Thuy Nguyen district), an employee of Chi Linh Company Limited, hired a number of people to cut down and destroy 2,256 banana trees, 12 longan trees, and 2 areca trees planted by Mr. Pham Van Quan's family on an area of ​​over 13,000 m2.²at village 2, Cao Nhan commune.

When the group was cutting down trees, Mr. Quan tried to stop them, but they did not stop. After receiving a report from Mr. Quan, the police detained the group along with 11 knives, the tools they used to cut down and destroy Mr. Quan's trees.

The content of the dispatch of the Hai Phong City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee emphasized that the case is serious, infringing on citizens' property rights, showing signs of property destruction as prescribed in Article 143 of the 1999 Penal Code. To strictly maintain legal discipline, it is requested that the Head of the Investigation Police Agency and Thuy Nguyen District Police urgently direct the verification, collection of documents, and prosecution of criminal cases for investigation according to the law.
