Duc Ong Temple is recognized as a provincial historical relic.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 18, 2018, Tan Ky District People's Committee held a ceremony to receive the certificate of ranking as a provincial historical relic of Duc Ong Temple, Nghia Dung Commune.
Duc Ong Temple is located in Cua Den hamlet, Nghia Dung commune (Tan Ky), is a place to worship the gods who have contributed to protecting the country, protecting the people, and helping people in life such as Duc Ong Moc Thu, the god who is said to have helped Le Loi escape from the Ming invaders; Cao Son, Cao Cac are gods with miraculous powers who always protect and defend the people's lives; Bach Y princess, said to be the daughter of the mountain god Son Tinh and My Nuong. When Le Loi was chased by the Ming invaders and had to hide in the bushes, Bach Y princess transformed into a white fox and ran out from the bushes to help Le Loi escape from the invaders.

To show respect, on the 3rd and 12th of the 10th lunar month every year, the local people hold two important ceremonies: the Mother Goddess's death anniversary and the Lord's death anniversary. For hundreds of years, the temple has become a place for spiritual and cultural activities of the people, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".
With that historical, cultural and spiritual significance, Duc Ong Temple has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tan Ky district hoped that the cadres and people of Nghia Dung commune would continue to invest in renovating, preserving and further promoting the value of the relic, contributing to enriching the cultural traditions of their homeland./.
