Proactively carry out socio-economic development tasks

At the meeting, representatives of Tan Ky district leaders reported on the socio-economic development situation in the first quarter of 2025 and the work of arranging administrative units and building a 2-level local government model.

Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2025, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from district to grassroots levels will pay attention to leading and directing the good implementation of policies and social security regimes; directing spring crop production to ensure the season; the socio-economic development plan, ensuring national defense and security in 2025 will be focused on leading and directing implementation right from the beginning of the year.

In the first quarter of 2025, the total production value of Tan Ky district is estimated at 2,024,579 billion VND, an increase of 9.74% over the same period..Of which, agriculture - forestry - fishery is estimated at 266,744 billion VND, up 5.06%; Construction industry is estimated at 1,308,283 billion VND, up 11.52%; Service industries are estimated at 449,552 billion VND, up 7.6% over the same period in 2024.

Total budget revenue in the area is estimated to reach nearly 103 billion VND by March 31, 2025, equal to 66% of the district's assigned estimate and 105% of the ordinance's estimate. Total budget expenditure by March 31, 2025 is estimated to reach 362,727 billion VND.

In the first quarter, Tan Ky district also focused on directing production to complete the acreage targets of spring crops. The new rural program continued to be vigorously implemented; industrial production activities in the area remained stable.

The district focuses on directing the entire political system, promoting internal resources, maximizing socialized resources, and combining resources to effectively implement support work, build and repair houses for poor households, families with housing difficulties and policy families in the area.

Based on cultural, social, traffic infrastructure and natural geographical conditions, Tan Ky district has developed plans to arrange administrative units at all levels, build a 2-level local government under the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and guiding documents of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Home Affairs; collect opinions and submit to the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee, the District Party Executive Committee, and agree to submit to the province a plan to merge commune-level administrative units in the district.

At the same time, Tan Ky district has reviewed cadres and civil servants when implementing the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units; developed plans for the arrangement and use of public assets; and plans for the location of new administrative unit headquarters.

At the working session, comrades in the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee recommended that the Provincial People's Committee soon have guidelines, criteria, and general orientations on commune mergers, staff arrangement, as well as the handover of records, documents, public assets, etc. in the implementation of administrative unit arrangement.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee shall promptly issue guiding documents to remove difficulties and obstacles of localities in determining the temporary suspension of renovation and repair of office buildings, purchasing and leasing assets; and advance investment capital for works and projects.

Proactively arrange commune-level administrative units

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged and highly appreciated Tan Ky district for achieving many outstanding results in performing tasks of economic, social development, national defense and security as well as the process of reorganizing commune-level administrative units.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that Tan Ky district should continue to focus on implementing drastic and synchronous solutions to promote local socio-economic development.

Emphasizing that the arrangement of administrative units is an inevitable and key task, the district needs to be proactive and research the optimal plan for arranging administrative units in the area, ensuring the correct orientation of the Central and the province according to the new criteria, suitable to the actual conditions of the locality, and on schedule.

At the same time, pay attention to naming new administrative units and arranging surplus assets. In particular, pay attention to arranging administrative centers in accordance with regional planning, ensuring the operational capacity of the new government after the merger.

In addition, focus on checking, reviewing, and completing procedures and documents of public investment projects in the area to prepare for handover.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the district to proactively disseminate and continue to carry out extensive propaganda, orientation and mobilization on the policy of rearranging administrative units at all levels, do a good job of political and ideological work, create high consensus and unity in society, especially for cadres, party members and people in the area. Pay attention to resolving regimes and policies for cadres and civil servants, especially for cadres and civil servants who retire according to policy.

Regarding the recommendations and proposals of Tan Ky district, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the working group, received and assigned departments and branches to study according to their authority, and at the same time advised the province to resolve them.
