| Although he is 65 years old, Mr. Ho Van Kien in Dai Hai village, Quynh Long commune still goes fishing alone on a boat at sea. He said that the longline fishing profession (also known as nearshore fishing - PV) is considered the main profession that brings income to the people. Longline fishing usually starts from home at 2-3 am and returns to shore at about 7-8 am the same day. | Crabs and mantis shrimps are typical seafood of the trawling industry and are extremely essential nowadays, especially for tourists during the tourist season. Fresh and delicious crabs cost from 300,000 - 400,000 VND/kg; grade 1 mantis shrimp costs 250,000 - 300,000 VND/kg. According to fishermen, except when the sea is rough, they bring their boats out to sea every day to earn an average of 1 - 2 million VND. During the season around October - November, there are trips that earn 4 - 5 million VND. |
