List of 7 inspection centers that violated regulations, with inspectors disciplined
Since the beginning of 2019, the Vietnam Register has discovered 7 inspection centers violating regulations and disciplined 13 inspectors.
The Vietnam Register said that since the beginning of 2019, it has organized 17 specialized inspections on inspection activities of road motor vehicle inspection centers, thereby detecting 7 centers, with 13 inspectors violating.
The Vietnam Register has suspended inspection activities for 1-3 months for violating inspectors, closed down one center, and requested other centers to rectify their inspection management.

“The inspection units that violated the regulations and had inspectors disciplined include: Motor Vehicle Inspection Center No. 98-03D Bac Giang; 72-03D Ba Ria - Vung Tau; 60-05D Dong Nai; 50-03V Ho Chi Minh City; 50-09D Ho Chi Minh City; 50-02S Ho Chi Minh City; 62-01S Dong Nai. Of which, Inspection Center 98-03D Bac Giang had its inspection operation certificate revoked and had to stop inspection operations from mid-April 2019,” said the leader of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Department of the Vietnam Register.
Recently, after the closure of the 98-03D Bac Giang inspection center, Director of the Vietnam Register Tran Ky Hinh issued a document requesting all motor vehicle inspection centers nationwide to strengthen self-inspection and supervision of internal inspection activities to improve the quality of motor vehicle inspection in the units. At the same time, the Vietnam Register assigned the Motor Vehicle Inspection Department to continue to strengthen specialized inspection and supervision to promptly detect and handle violations in automobile inspection activities.
According to the provisions of Decree 139/2018 of the Government on motor vehicle inspection service business, inspectors will be suspended from work for 1-3 months in the following cases: falsifying inspection results; failing to comply with regulations, procedures, standards, technical regulations and instructions related to inspection work.
For inspection centers, their certificates of eligibility to operate will be revoked if within 12 consecutive months, 5 or more inspectors are suspended or 3 or more inspectors have their inspection certificates revoked.
