Huge 'laughing gas' decanting point disguised in the parking lot area
Through initial investigation, authorities clarified that the destination of the above goods was transported to bars in the city as well as neighboring provinces.
At around 7:00 p.m. on July 7, Team 7, Department of Investigation of Corruption, Economic and Smuggling Crimes, Hanoi City Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 17 to inspect the area of the 368 parking lot on Mac Thai Tong Street, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District and discovered about 100 N2O gas cylinders in a temporary house made of corrugated iron. To avoid detection, the subjects involved carefully hid the N2O gas cylinders and waited until nightfall to transport them to the points of sale.

Hanoi City Police inspected and seized about 100 N2O gas cylinders including gas filling machines.
Upon inspection, the cylinders weighed between 5 and 15 kg. Many cylinders weighed 20 kg and a machine was used to transfer the gas. Along with that, about 10 kg of balloon shells used to fill N2O gas were also seized.
The interdisciplinary working group identified the owner of the above goods as Nguyen Van Tinh (born in 1992, permanent residence in Phuong Vi commune, Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province). At the time of inspection, Tinh could not present invoices, vouchers, or papers proving the legal origin of the above goods.
The representative of the Department of Investigation of Corruption, Economic and Smuggling Crimes said: Through initial investigation, the authorities have clarified the destination of the above goods, which were transported to bars in the city as well as neighboring provinces. With high profits, the subjects disregarded the regulations prohibiting trading and use and found every way to hide and operate secretly.
Currently, the case is still being investigated by the authorities.
