Illegal laughing gas business discovered in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Nghe An Police) said that it is completing documents to strictly handle establishments trading in N2O gas (laughing gas), causing insecurity and disorder in the area.
Previously, through understanding the situation, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order discovered a number of types of services disguised as food and beverage businesses to organize for customers to use stimulants that are not allowed to be sold according to regulations.

According to the review, the bar SEVENS CLUB (address 8, Le Nin Avenue, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City) and a number of other establishments in the city have many signs of violations in business activities using loud music and selling N2O gas (laughing gas) for customers to use.
At 22:45 on January 5, 2024, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order mobilized a working group to conduct a surprise inspection of the SEVENS CLUB Bar.
At the time of inspection, it was discovered that the facility was using loud music and selling N2O gas (laughing balloons) for customers to use, specifically 35/80 customers were using laughing balloons. N2O gas is a substance restricted from production and trading in the industrial sector, not for entertainment purposes.

The business of N2O gas has been admitted by the owner and related people to be illegal. The working group has drawn up a record of inspection and confiscated the exhibits including 01 used N2O gas cylinder, 110 unused laughing gas balloons and 98 used laughing gas balloons. The above administrative violation exhibits have no invoices or documents.

Currently, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order is completing the dossier to strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
According to the authorities, people, especially teenagers, when using N2O gas will cause hallucinations, mood disorders, memory disorders, affect the nervous system, cardiovascular system, reproductive health, when inhaling too much N2O gas, the body will lack oxygen, leading to symptoms of dizziness, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, fainting.
In severe cases, N2O gas poisoning can lead to death, seriously affecting the security situation. Trading in N20 gas (laughing gas) is illegal.
