Dien An (Dien Chau): Surprise inspection of headquarters, many commune officials absent

On the afternoon of June 28, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Le Dinh Ly, as head of the province's interdisciplinary delegation, conducted a surprise inspection at Dien An commune, Dien Chau district. Only a few officials were working at the commune headquarters, while the majority of officials and civil servants were not present at the headquarters.

According to the explanation of the commune leaders, they directed cadres and civil servants to collect products in hamlets, but the commune leaders did not have documents proving the assignment of tasks; the work plan of the commune People's Committee did not include this task.

On the same afternoon, at 2:10 p.m., the inspection team inspected the departments and offices of Dien Chau district. Officials and civil servants strictly followed the working hours. However, at the time of the inspection, most civil servants did not wear badges; name tags were not fully equipped; and the one-stop shop had not fully performed administrative procedures.

Earlier in the morning, the delegation suddenly inspected the compliance with discipline and administrative discipline at Nghia Tien commune and departments and offices under the Town People's Committee.

Through inspection, the working group assessed that Nghia Tien commune has documents directing the implementation of discipline and administrative discipline; and has built a fairly complete system of regulations.

The commune has built a monthly work program and assigned tasks for 2018, but has not yet revised or supplemented it to suit reality.

At the time of the inspection at 11:10 a.m., some commune officials were absent for unknown reasons. The one-stop shop has not yet fully publicized administrative procedures, nor has it publicly announced the collection and payment of fees according to new regulations.

Inspections at departments under the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town showed that officials and civil servants strictly followed working hours. In the first 6 months of the year, the town established a team and conducted inspections of discipline and administrative discipline in 10 wards and communes.

At the inspection sites, the delegation requested units to strengthen measures to rectify discipline and administrative order to improve the spirit, responsibility and ethics of public servants in performing their duties; units with existing shortcomings need to seriously review, learn from experience and overcome them.
