HIV exposure treatment for police who arrested taxi robbers
(Baonghean.vn)- All three young men from Nghe An who went to Ha Tinh to rob a taxi were drug addicts, one of them was HIV positive. During the arrest, one police officer was injured.
The leaders of Vu Quang district (Ha Tinh) have just organized a ceremony to reward police officers and soldiers of Vu Quang district for their achievements in arresting three taxi robbers.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 7:30 p.m. on April 5, Vu Quang District Police received a report from driver Nguyen Van Tinh that he was being transported by 3 people from Vinh City (Nghe An). When he arrived in Vu Quang District, they pushed him onto the street, robbed him of his motorbike, 3 cell phones, and 600,000 VND in cash, then escaped.

Immediately, Vu Quang District Police deployed forces, coordinated with police in Duc Giang and An Phu communes to surround and arrest the subjects.
During the siege, the subjects used weapons to fight back, injuring a number of officers and soldiers. However, using professional measures, Vu Quang District Police forced the entire group to surrender.
The three subjects were identified as: Pham Cuong Quyet (19 years old), residing in Hung Chau commune, Hung Nguyen, Nghe An; Le Duc Cong (21 years old), Nguyen Anh Dung (19 years old), both residing in Dong Vinh ward, Vinh city, Nghe An. All were addicted to heroin and one of the three subjects was infected with HIV/AIDS.
Along with awarding 5 million VND, the leaders of Vu Quang district commended the heroic spirit of the police officers of Vu Quang district in fighting and suppressing crime, and directed the force to treat HIV/AIDS exposure for injured officers.
