Familiar drink can prevent high blood pressure
Regularly drinking pure fruit juice is considered good for health, including blood pressure.
According to the World Heart Federation, about 1.3 billion people worldwide have high blood pressure, causing 10 million deaths each year.
In 2021, high blood pressure was the primary or contributing cause of nearly 700,000 deaths in the United States. About half of all adults have high blood pressure (nearly 120 million people). High blood pressure is a potential risk factor for heart attacks and strokes.
A study published in the journalPlos Oneshows that fruit juice can lower blood pressure.

You can choose different types of fruit, but make sure it is 100% pure juice. Based on 93 previous analyses, the new study evaluates dozens of different sugar-containing foods to help understand how dietary choices affect high blood pressure.
A team of authors from the University of Toronto (Canada) noted that a modest amount of fruit juice can lead to a small but important reduction in blood pressure. Fruit juice containing only natural sugars can reduce systolic blood pressure by 3.7 mmHg.
Scientists explain that the vitamin and flavonoid content in fruit juices protects the cardiovascular system and can reduce inflammation. You get the greatest benefit on blood pressure if you drink 50 to 150ml of fruit juice a day.
But according toMirror, eating whole fruit, which still contains fiber, may have even greater benefits. Overall, this study supports previous evidence that drinking a glass of 100% fruit juice daily can lower blood pressure.
Public health guidelines aimed at helping people prevent and control high blood pressure should distinguish between natural and added sugars, the researchers said.
“Our study shows a benefit on blood pressure from moderate consumption of fruit juice containing only naturally occurring sugars,” said lead author Professor John Sievenpiper.
The British Blood Pressure Foundation advises that limiting alcohol and losing weight in obese people can also help your blood pressure. Also, try to limit your caffeine intake and stop smoking. Physical activity is also a great way to reduce your risk of heart and circulatory disease, as well as lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms.
The US-based Mayo Clinic warns: “Most people with high blood pressure have no symptoms, even when their blood pressure is dangerously high.” The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) says the only way to know if your blood pressure is high is to get it checked. Anyone over 40 should have it checked regularly.
The Cleveland Clinic explains that blood pressure readings are made up of two numbers. Systolic blood pressure measures the pressure of blood against the walls of the arteries when the heart contracts. Diastolic blood pressure measures the pressure of blood against the walls of the arteries when the heart relaxes.
A person has high blood pressure if the reading is 140/90mmHg or higher (or 150/90mmHg for people over 80 years old). Ideal blood pressure is usually between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg.
Some warning symptoms of high blood pressure include shortness of breath, headache, blurred vision, nosebleeds, chest pain, and dizziness./.
