SERIOUS AND EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION

The meeting aimed to review the results of 5 years of implementing Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated January 5, 2017 of the Politburo on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring economic security in the context of developing a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration" (Directive No. 12).

Over the past 5 years, closely following the leadership and direction of the Central Government, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading, directing, thoroughly disseminating, and seriously and effectively implementing Directive No. 12 of the Politburo.

Awareness of cadres and party members has been gradually raised; coordination between functional departments and branches has become increasingly closer and more effective.

The province has effectively implemented measures to ensure economic security and promptly resolved complex issues arising in the process of implementing socio-economic development tasks.

At the same time, the fight against sabotage and law violations in the economic field has achieved many important results... These results have created a safe and favorable environment and conditions for economic sectors to develop sustainably.

In the coming time, Nghe An will continue to thoroughly grasp, disseminate and effectively implement Directive No. 12 of the Politburo and related Resolutions and Plans of the Government and the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Nghe An Provincial Party Committee will focus on directing, reviewing, recommending to the Central Government and directing the Provincial People's Committee to amend and supplement mechanisms and policies towards strengthening the effectiveness of State management of security and order, improving the investment and business environment, promoting administrative reform, creating more favorable conditions for production and business activities of economic sectors; continuing to effectively direct the fight against criminal, economic and corruption crimes, contributing to creating a healthy business environment for economic sectors...

At the meeting, the Central Inspection Delegation also discussed and listened to opinions from agencies, departments, branches, and leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on experiences, good practices, and achieved results; some limitations, shortcomings, difficulties, and problems, and made recommendations to the working delegation.

NGHE AN HAS MANY GOOD WAYS OF DOING THINGS

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong discussed and analyzed further the significance, role and results of implementing Directive 12 of the Politburo in the province.

In particular, he affirmed that Directive 12 of the Politburo has contributed to guiding the province in planning and promulgating policies to ensure local economic development quite clearly, with a consistent viewpoint in implementing the goals of economic development, integration, and foreign relations of the State and locality; at the same time creating momentum for the province's rapid economic growth.

Based on the analysis of Nghe An's economic development results in the past 5 years, especially the expansion of the province's economic scale, in 2022, GRDP reached 175,740 billion VND, 2.3 times higher than before Directive 12 was issued, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong emphasized: Respecting and ensuring economic security does not hinder economic development, does not violate economic laws that inherently operate according to market mechanisms; on the contrary, it makes development more stable and solid; builds a secure and safe investment environment that is still open, especially, creating equality among enterprises.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Duc Hien - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, Head of the inspection delegation, assessed that the leadership, direction, dissemination and implementation of Directive No. 12 of the Politburo was seriously and proactively implemented by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, with many good practices, relatively close to reality and consistent; the participation and coordination of departments, branches and localities were very specific and effective...

The results achieved, difficulties, obstacles, especially the proposals and recommendations of the province provide additional arguments for the Central Inspection Team to serve the work of building a joint report summarizing 5 years of implementing Directive No. 12 to submit to the Politburo.
