The National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province organized a thematic supervision in Tuong Duong district.

The monitoring delegation included comrades: Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Deputy Head of the monitoring delegation; Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, Full-time Delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Deputy Head of the monitoring delegation. Given the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, especially in July 2021 when the first outbreak appeared in Cham villageIn Puong, Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong), the epidemic prevention work encountered many difficulties due to the difficult traffic and distance from the district center. However, with the strong determination of the entire political system, the spirit of urgent and drastic epidemic prevention; and the support of the Department of Health, the district quickly isolated and suppressed the epidemic, preventing it from spreading widely.

The People's Committee of Tuong Duong district has mobilized all human resources to focus on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic. Of which, 438 cadres including medical staff from the district health center to communes and Party committees and authorities have been mobilized to participate in the fight against the epidemic. Along with that, hundreds of cadres and soldiers of the armed forces have participated in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

The district has established a centralized quarantine facility, arranged adequate specialized means of transport, and ensured the conditions of facilities and equipment. Up to now, the district has administered 16,918 doses of 4 COVID-19 vaccines.

The management and use of funds for COVID-19 prevention and control must comply with the provisions of the Budget Law and documents and instructions of the Central and Provincial Governments. The total budget mobilized for epidemic prevention and control is VND 50,343 million. However, the budget resources for local epidemic prevention and control are limited, mainly relying on the budget allocated by higher levels. Therefore, the payment policies for subjects participating in COVID-19 prevention and control are sometimes not timely.

Concluding the supervision session, comrade Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, full-time delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation's supervision delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Tuong Duong district in mobilizing, managing and using resources to serve the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and implementing policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine. At the same time, he further analyzed the existing causes and limitations and accepted the district's recommendations for consideration and transfer to competent agencies and units for consideration and resolution.

During the working program, the National Assembly Delegation's supervision delegation conducted a field survey at Tam Thai Commune Health Station and Tuong Duong District Health Center.
