The provincial National Assembly delegation supervises the implementation of policies and laws on energy development at Nghe An Electricity Company.

By 2022, serving more than 1 million consumers

Nghe An Electricity Company is a unit under the Northern Power Corporation, assigned the task of selling electricity in Nghe An province. Electricity output in 2016 was 2,382 million kWh; in 2022 it was 4,229 million kWh (an increase of 1,847 million kWh, accounting for 77.5%). Commercial output supplied in 2022 serves 1,053,224 customers and grows 3% compared to 2021.

Currently, Nghe An province's power source is supplied from 5 220kV transformer stations located at: Nghi Son; Quynh Luu; Hung Dong; Do Luong and Tuong Duong.

Besides, Nghe An province has 11hydroelectric power plant(NMTD) generating electricity to the 110 kV grid, with a total capacity of 285 MW; There are 6 NMTD generating electricity to the 35 kV grid, with a total capacity of 81.4 MW. By the end of 2022, there were 783 solar power projects with a total capacity of 91,574.185 kWh; the solar power output in 2022 is 82,147,154 kWh.

With the goal of improving efficiency in the energy sector, as well as ensuring national energy security associated with sustainable development and environmental protection in Nghe An province. In the period of 2016-2021, Nghe An Electricity Company has closely followed policies and legal regulations to issue guiding documents, directing affiliated units to fully, promptly, legally and synchronously implement, consistent with the system of legal documents related to the Electricity industry issued by State agencies on energy development.

The company is currently managing electricity consumption data of key customers at the information page: http://sudungdien.evn.com.vn and is always updated with monthly electricity consumption output of agencies, administrative units and enterprises belonging to key energy-using establishments in the area. Thereby, monitoring the electricity usage of the above subjects.

In addition, develop a plan for solutions to manage electricity demand in accordance with supply capacity; effectively implement measures to reduce electricity loss in electricity distribution; popularize the use of energy saving and efficiency; launch campaigns such as "Earth Hour", "Family saves electricity", etc.
