On the morning of September 26, in Vinh City, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Province held a Conference to collect comments on the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations, and the Law on Chemicals (amended).

Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders and departments of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of departments, branches and related units.
The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations and the Law on Chemicals (amended) are two draft laws being discussed, consulted and expected to be passed at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations has 6 chapters and 66 articles (1 chapter and 5 articles less than the current law). The draft Law on Chemicals (amended) consists of 89 articles with 10 chapters. This law regulates activities related to the development of the chemical industry, management of chemical activities; chemical information as well as regulations related to hazardous chemicals in products, etc.
At the conference, the delegates basically agreed and highly agreed with this draft law, in which, more attention was paid to the definitions in the content of managing hazardous chemicals; clearly identifying specialized agencies managing key chemicals in the province.
