Vinh University Youth Union summarizes the 2020 summer volunteer campaign

With the theme "Creative youth, volunteering for the community", Summer Volunteer CampaignVinh UniversityIn 2020, the focus was on teams with nearly 300 youth union members of the school participating in activities in particularly difficult communes of districts in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Summer volunteer campaignIn 2020, many remarkable results were achieved, such as: Undertaking new rural construction activities. During the entire campaign, volunteer teams maintained, upgraded, and renewed 31 km of roads; dredged and cleaned 10,000 m of rivers, streams, and irrigation canals within the fields; the area of ​​land cleared and cleaned was 7.5 hectares.

Harvesting 30 acres of agricultural products, crops... for the people; helping ethnic minorities to work in the fields, clean up their houses, build soccer fields, commune headquarters, build inter-village and inter-commune roads; digging wells, cleaning the grounds of cultural relic sites, cultural houses, cemeteries; cleaning 31 km of roads with 240 working days; cleaning up village roads and alleys.

Participate in building and renovating houses for families under preferential policies, families with revolutionary contributions, families in especially difficult circumstances...

During the entire campaign, volunteer teams cleaned 15 martyr cemeteries in communes and towns; helped, visited, and gave gifts to 175 policy families worth more than 40,000,000 VND; and helped policy families and single-parent families.

In addition, organize training courses on professional skills of the Youth Union - Association - Team for young union members, guide and organize activities of the Youth Union branches in residential areas. Guide to build strong Youth Union branches, Youth Union branches following Uncle Ho's teachings, and impart experiences to Youth Union cadres in villages and hamlets in uniting and gathering young people to participate in activities.

At the same time, 15 summer classes were organized with 527 students from grades 1 to 8, with 124 sessions. 45 gifts were given to disadvantaged children and teenagers with a total value of 14,500,000 VND.
