Doc Cho landslide, National Highway 7 in Nghe An continues to be cut off
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the impact of heavy rain in Con Cuong district, National Highway 7 passing through Doc Cho continues to be blocked. Up to now, vehicles have not been able to circulate because soil and rocks from the positive slope continue to collapse.

The traffic jam started at 5am on September 8th, at km 110 + 800, about 50m long, in Boong village, Lang Khe commune, Con Cuong district. Currently, vehicles wanting to pass through this section of road are lining up for more than 3km.
Immediately after the incident, the road management force was present to promptly fix the problem. However, as of 7:30 this morning, this section of the road was still closed to traffic.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Yen, Head of Con Cuong Road Management Department, said that the department has mobilized machines to the landslide site to fix it, and will leave the machine at this landslide site to be on standby if there is another landslide, because there is currently heavy rain in the area.

National Highway 7 is one of the most important national highways connecting the southwestern districts of Nghe An with the center of Nghe An province and also from this national highway to trade with Laos through Nam Can border gate. Every day, thousands of vehicles travel on this national highway.
