Dong Tam Team won the Vinh City Parish Football Tournament

(Baonghean.vn) - After a week of exciting competition with great and dramatic matches, on the afternoon of November 12, the 2016 Vinh City Parish Great Unity Football Tournament held the final match between the two teams of An Hau and Dong Tam Parishes. This is the tournament to celebrate the 86th anniversary of the Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2016) and to celebrate Christmas 2016.

The tournament gathered 15 teams, including 13 teams from parishes and 2 teams from the city's mass organizations and internal affairs. Through the tournament, it aims to strengthen solidarity and cohesion between parishes in the city and with the government. From there, they will join hands to contribute to the cause of socio-economic development and ensure security and order in the locality.

In the final match, with great unity and determination, the team from Dong Tam Parish overcame An Hau Parish team to win the championship. This team also won secondary awards such as Best Player (Luong Cong Manh), Best Goalkeeper (Nguyen Ngoc Son).

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the cup, flag and 3,000,000 VND in prize money to the champion team; An Hau team won second prize with a prize of 2,000,000 VND; Dong Yen and Vinh Giang parish teams shared third prize, Vinh My parish team received the Style prize.

Presented 20 gifts to poor Catholic households in Nghi Phu and Nghi An communes.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to poor Catholic households in Nghi Phu and Nghi An communes. Thereby, it aims to help Catholic households have a peaceful and happy Christmas./.
