Dien Thanh Border Guard Station celebrates 57th anniversary of Border Guard tradition day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 3, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station (Dien Chau) held a discussion to celebrate the 57th anniversary of Border Guard Tradition Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2016) and the 27th anniversary of People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2016).

Standing on the coast of Dien Chau district, Dien Thanh Border Post is the unit managing the territory of 6 coastal border communes and 2 adjacent communes, with nearly 100,000 people, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the district's population, with a sea border of over 25km, and more than 1,400 ships entering and exiting Lach Van estuary.

The Station has actively advised the local authorities to do a good job of grasping the local situation, thereby establishing 6 self-governing security teams at sea and 676 self-governing teams on land. In recent years, the Station has arrested and handled 150 cases of using explosives and illegal fishing equipment, 15 cases of drug possession, 160 disputes at sea....
