The program is part of the Project "Building a breeding facility for sows to provide breeding pigs for people in the western border area of Nghe An province in the period of 2015 - 2018" chaired by the Provincial Farmers' Association in coordination with the Provincial Border Guard Command.
This is the first handover of breeding pigs since the project was implemented at the unit with a total of 10 poor and near-poor households in 5 villages: Bai Xa, Son Ha, Tam Bong, Tam Huong and Tam Lien of Tam Quang commune being supported with breeding pigs, each household received a pair of good quality breeding pigs, suitable for the farming methods and conditions of local people.
It is known that in the coming time, the unit will continue to maintain the project well, striving in 2018 to provide the 2nd and 3rd phases to poor and near-poor households of the remaining 7 villages in the area with a total expected number of supported breeding pigs of 30, helping people have the opportunity to develop livestock, create stable income, practically eliminate hunger and reduce poverty effectively.
