Provincial Party Secretary wishes a Happy New Year to the cadres and people of Quy Chau district

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of February 1, 2016, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and wished a Happy New Year to the cadres, soldiers and people of Quy Chau district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2016.

Also attending were representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Border Guard; the Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Health.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc listened to the leaders of Quy Chau district report on the implementation of tasks in 2015 and the preparation for the Lunar New Year 2016. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of Quy Chau District Party Committee has developed a plan to implement activities. Agencies, units and functional forces in the area have arranged staff and forces to be on duty during the Tet holiday.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc congratulated the Lunar New Year to the officials of Quy Chau district.

The Standing Committee of the Quy Chau District Party Committee has assigned the District People's Committee to establish an inspection team on goods quality, trade fraud, and food hygiene and safety. The District Police force has developed a plan to patrol and control traffic safety; inspect and handle gambling and lottery activities; inspect the transportation, trading, and use of firecrackers and explosives.

In particular, responding to the call of the Provincial Party Secretary to help the poor, agencies, units and philanthropists have mobilized donations to support poor households and policy families. The whole district has received and distributed 437 tons of rice and 2,591 gifts with a total amount of more than 1.4 billion VND.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc presented New Year gifts to cadres, soldiers and people of Quy Chau district.

Quy Chau district donated over 300 million VND to the Fund for the Poor; established delegations led by Standing Committee members of the District Party Committee to visit and give gifts to poor households and policy families.

The Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the results that Quy Chau district achieved in 2015 and wished the district leaders and officials solidarity and high cooperation in the new year to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

In addition, comrade Ho Duc Phoc requested the district to be more determined and proactive in economic development, especially in the agricultural sector, to create a breakthrough in the economic sector, accelerate poverty reduction; ensure security and order; organize joyful, healthy and economical Lunar New Year celebrations for the people.

In the afternoon of the same day, comrade Ho Duc Phoc visited and wished a happy new year to Mr. Lang Son Han, Chau Hanh commune, an exemplary elderly person with prestige in the community; cadres and people of Chau Hanh commune.
