Also attending were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; comrades representing the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Ethnic Committee, representatives of a number of businesses and philanthropists who contributed to the completion of the Khe Thin flood overpass project.

The construction of the Niem Tin flood overpass project began on December 9, 2020 at Khe Thin residential area (also known as Thin village by local people) in Moi village, Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district.

The residential area of ​​Thin village has 36 households with 155 people, most of whom are Dan Lai people. This residential area is nearly 10km from the center of Con Cuong district but is separated by mountains, forests and streams, so the people's lives are almost isolated from the outside, and their economic life is extremely difficult.

To help people travel, the commune builds a temporary bridge every year, but every time the rainy season comes, it is washed away by the water, completely isolating the village. Besides, because of the remote conditions and lack of a bridge, the education of children in Thin village is not guaranteed, the situation of students dropping out of school is common. And for many years now, people have wanted a solid bridge to facilitate the people in the area.

In response to this urgent need, members of the Faith Group volunteer group directly contributed, and also called on, mobilized, and collected donations from businesses and philanthropists to support the bridge construction. After 1 month and 12 days of construction with the inspection and supervision of the functional units of Con Cuong district and Luc Da commune, the Faith Bridge project was completed.

The bridge is designed with the main bridge and the road sections at both ends of the bridge, 55.2m long, 1.5m wide with 2 abutments and 1 bridge pillar. The bridge surface is made of 5mm thick anti-slip steel. The bridge has a load capacity of 4 tons. The project was invested with nearly 800 million VND. In addition, the bridge construction unit has supported all costs of human resources, wages and other expenses.

Previously, the Faith Volunteer Group organized the Four Heroes Faith Cup football tournament to raise funds and support the construction of a flood bridge in Thin village.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van Thong expressed his joy and gratitude to the Faith group, philanthropists and businesses who joined hands and contributed to the completion of the Thinh village flood bridge. He also hoped that the people in the area would take measures to preserve the project for long-term use to serve safe travel and production activities. In addition, he hoped that the people would continuously make efforts, together with the local Party Committee and government, to overcome all difficulties to develop the economy.

On the occasion of preparing to celebrate the traditional New Year, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished philanthropists, businesses and people a joyful, warm, successful and happy New Year.

On this occasion, the Faith group gave 60 gifts worth a total of 30 million VND to poor households in Thin village.

In the 6 years since its establishment, the Faith group has called for the construction of 2 bridges for people in Huoi Pung village (Huu Khuong, Tuong Duong) and a flood bridge in Thin village, Luc Da commune, Con Cuong district; built a solid house worth 80 million VND for Mr. Luong Van Hoa's family in Pha Day village, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau) in 2020.

The Faith Group has also supported 11 highland schools in many aspects, such as: 200 million to overcome the consequences of floods at 2 boarding secondary schools for ethnic minorities, Con Cuong and Yen Khe (Con Cuong); 500 million to build public houses and equipment for teachers in Pa Khom (Tri Le, Que Phong), Huoi Pung (Huu Khuong, Tuong Duong); 1,500 warm clothes for highland students...

The group organized the Four Heroes Cup three times to call for support from groups and individuals. Out of 147 trips, the group handed over 4,527,790,000 VND and many other gifts to the poor and those in difficult circumstances.
