Ve Nong hamlet has 167 households with 564 people. During the national resistance wars, the people of Ve Nong hamlet were always united under the revolutionary flag led by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the Fatherland Front; the hamlet also made many contributions to the struggles for national independence and unification. At the end of the resistance war, Ve Nong hamlet had 11 martyrs; 13 wounded and sick soldiers.
Entering the period of building and defending the Fatherland, the people of Ve Nong hamlet continue to unite, be self-reliant, and strive to build an increasingly better life.

Through the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, the people of Ve Nong hamlet continue to unite to implement many important contents and tasks, develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and build a vibrant and healthy cultural life in residential areas.
Currently, the entire hamlet has only 6 poor households, equivalent to nearly 3%. The rural landscape is being cared for and built up through the new rural movement. Ve Nong is also recognized as a hamlet without crime and social evils, and has achieved the title of Cultural Unit.

Speaking at the celebration and National Great Unity Day, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the executive committee and people of Ve Nong hamlet in recent times.
Affirming the unique advantages of the hamlet, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the executive committee and people of Ve Nong hamlet to continue to unite to develop the economy, focusing on exploiting the advantages of National Highway 15A passing through the area to develop services, trade and promote the advantage of the hamlet having the largest area in Van Dien commune, specifically converting the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity economy on the hilly land area.

At the same time, cadres and people in the hamlet need to promote solidarity to improve cultural and spiritual life; take care of children's education; say no to social evils and other negative manifestations.
