Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe Anheld a groundbreaking ceremony to build a house of gratitude for Mrs. Vo Thi Lai (born in 1948), wife of martyr Nguyen Trung Quang in hamlet 4, Nghia Hoa commune, Thai Hoa town. Mr. Quang sacrificed his life in the resistance war against the US to save the country. Nearly 50 years after her husband passed away, Mrs. Lai raised two children alone. Her family's circumstances are among the most difficult in the commune.

The 100 m2 house of gratitude was built on Mrs. Lai's family's land, with a total cost of more than 200 million VND, of which 50 million VND was sponsored by the For Vietnamese Stature Fund. In addition, local organizations and relatives supported the construction of the house of gratitude.
On the same day, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs also coordinated with Nghia Dan district to start building a house of gratitude and presented 50 million VND to support the construction of a house of gratitude to Ms. Dang Thi Thu (born in 1959), wife of martyr Dang Quang Binh in hamlet 14, Nghia Hung commune (Nghia Dan). Martyr Binh sacrificed his life in the Southwest battlefield (Cambodia).

This is a practical activity to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and promote the movement of "Repaying gratitude". The two projects are expected to be completed in mid-August 2019.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi The is a near-poor household. Her husband passed away and she has many children. For many years, the whole family has had to live together in a small, seriously degraded house. In order to share the situation of Mrs. The's family, the Fatherland Front Committee of Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu) supported 7 million VND for the family to build a new house.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the People's Committee of Cau Giat town also took from the fund for the poor to provide emergency support to two families in difficult circumstances.
